The Chinese have announced a Persian Gulf summit in Beijing.
China had brokered a deal to restore diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MBS) had been begging for a summit with President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran for several months. Perhaps MBS has seen articles planted in US publications calling for a coup against him to replace him with a more democratic and western friendly prince.
Iran is a key to China’s Belt and Road Initiative. And Iran is a key trade partner with Russia in their Moscow Tehran rail and naval link via the Caspian Sea. The Chinese might have told the Iranians to wait for the summit in Beijing to maximize what concessions they could get from the Saudis.
Iran has already become a strategic partner of Russia and a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) which is a rough equivalent to NATO though they are much better armed and a lot less belligerent.
Iran was given the Russian Mach 12 Kinzhal missile which leaves a 98 foot (30 meters) deep hole where its target used to be. Iran has bought 25 SU-35 jets which are much faster than either the F-22 Raptor or the F-35. Russia is using old Iranian missiles with large warheads in the Donbass along with Iranian drones. The Iranians will be retiring those old missiles now that they have the Kinzhal. And they might use the Kinzhal’s new technology to improve their already existing Mach 14 IRBM.
The resumption of diplomatic relations and the subsequent Persian Gulf summit in Beijing means that we will see an end to the war in Yemen. Other priorities would be:
A shift from the US dollar to the yuan and ruble in oil sales. We ought to look at the dumping of US Treasury bonds both before and after that summit.
A rapid decline in US military presence in the Mideast.
Israel and the United Arab Emirates seized a strategic island southwest of Socotra. That needs to be discussed at the Beijing Summit.
Of importance to Iraq and Iran would be the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq.
Of importance to Iran would be the withdrawal of US troops from Syria and the discontinuation of American theft of Syrian oil and wheat. After all, the US did kill hundreds of thousands of Syrians through sanctions.
I would suggest that other regional powers be given observer status at the Beijing summit, namely Iraq, Syria and Turkey.
Between now and the summit would be a good time for Russia to train Iranians to operate the S-400 so they can move to its rapid deployment in Iran. The transfer of the S-400 at the time of the Beijing summit would give Iran the power needed to stand up to the US and Israel.
Hint: I would also suggest Russia sell the R-37M air to air missile to Iran. It has a range of 400 Kms (249 miles) which would discourage an attack on Iran as it could shoot down Israeli planes while they were just entering the Persian Gulf.
The R-37M and the S-400 together would also enable Iran to establish a No Fly Zone for American jets over Iraq. And the two combined might convince Crown Prince MBS to deny Saudi air space to any attack by Israel and/or the US against Iran or any other Muslim state.
And the gift of a couple dozen older grad MLRS (Multiple Rocket Launchers) to the 60,000 members of Pro-Iranian militias in Iraq would force the Americans out of Syria as they cannot fight without air supremacy.
Of critical importance would be the rapid decline in the value of the dollar and the resulting rise in inflation. Shadow Stats has US real inflation as dropping below 15% but a decline in the value of the dollar would force both Americans and foreigners to dump US dollars and to buy commodities. US stocks and bonds would be a No Go because the US is going into a severe recession which would force stock prices even lower.
The US for a while longer is printing an international reserve currency. It printed dollars and foreigners accepted them in the past as gold. Not much longer. The US prints dollars to pay for 857 overseas military bases. Secretary of Defense Austin even announced 4 more bases to be built in the Philippines.
The US also prints I Owe You Nothing Federal Reserve Notes to buy trillions in free stuff from foreigners. This is to delude the American public into believing they are still living in a prosperous First World Nation. Each one of those millions of unskilled illegal aliens will cost the US taxpayer $8,000 a year in subsidies. That can only be paid for through deficits for now and then hyperinflation starting in a couple of years.
I have in the past defined hyperinflation for an international reserve currency like the dollar as starting at 25%. We are already half way there according to Shadow Stats.
Enter Sergey Glazyev, Minister for Macroeconomics and Integration at the Eurasian Union. He has two plans to undermine the dollar. One is to replace it with a market basket of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) currencies which would require that one or more of them be linked to gold.
The second plan is to invite the Global South to join BRICS+ offering them debt cancellation. He has said he would let them refuse to pay all their debts denominated in dollars, pounds, euros and yen. This would compensate Russia and other nations that had been victims of sanctions totaling $2 trillion.
The above plans from Glazyev on top the ending of the dollar in the oil trade would trigger two trillion dollars in derivatives. That would devastate the NATO counties and their allies.
It would end the Wolfowitz doctrine and the Neocon dreams of Wall Street and Israel Uber Alles.
Domestically, I still expect Nationwide Food Riots and serious inflationary dislocations before the November 2024 presidential elections.
