Russia is an industrial nation and is still sending tanks into Belarus. They also sent 200 new T-90 tanks into the Donbass. They are so confident of victory in the Ukraine that they expect the Neocons in the US and Great Britain to flail about trying to start WW III when, not if, their Ukraine project fails as did their projects in Afghanistan, Libya and the blowing up of the Nord Stream pipelines.
The Duran Rumble channel said Neocons are willing to take any risk because their bad decisions never lead to bad things like losing their jobs or their positions of decision making power. The Duran also said Neocons do not calculate resources and costs as the taxpayers of the US, the UK and Europe pay for their failures. The Duran sees this ending badly for the people of the United States.
Russia’s decision to expand and modernize their military was Putin saying Nyet to World War III.
Russian Defense Minister Shoigu announced an increase in the size of their standing army to 1.5 million with the number of professional soldiers being raised from 200,000 to 695,000. New military districts will be created, including one for St Petersburg to counter Finland and Sweden possibly joining NATO. They will add 5 artillery divisions. The new Army will have even more air mobile troops than the old Soviet Union. They had already begun replacing all Mach 3 cruise missiles with Mach 9 Tsirkons meaning it will cost them nothing to fire all the old cruise missiles at the Ukraine. Russia manufactures the Mach 3 Brahmos cruise missile jointly with India. If need be, India could send a couple thousand air launched versions which are Mach 5 with 200 kg (661 pound) payloads.
I believe the US, the UK, Europe and Japan are headed to the worst financial crisis in 500 years. It will be far worse than either 1933 America or 1923 Germany. You can estimate the severity of a coming Depression by counting all of the Unpayable Debts that will be cancelled either through deflation (default US 1933) or hyperinflation (1923 Germany.) This coming economic collapse and the failure of the Neocons in the Ukraine might help persuade the public that following the Neocons into WW III is not such a good idea.
Russia is proceeding very cautiously in the Ukraine. They are waiting for good tank weather as far south as Kiev. They are also waiting for the Ukrainian Army to collapse in the Donbass. The Ukrainians pulled out 3 brigades that had experienced 70% losses and replaced them with new sacrificial lambs. The Russians are adding new resources to the area. And they have a nearby reserve of 20,000 to 25,000 air mobile troops to send into the Donbass at the critical point and time.
84 kilometers (53 miles) behind the Donbass frontline in Bakhmut is the Ukrainian supply center of Pokrovsk. It is 275 kms (171 miles) by road south and slightly east of Kharkov. When it falls, the Ukrainian frontline in the Donbass will be through.
The following military plan was suggested by Dima of the Youtube Military Summary Channel. He is from Belarus and has a background in military intelligence. The Ukrainians said (based on NATO spy satellites) the Russians do not seem to have enough troops in Belarus to take Kiev. But occupying cities is not their objective. They want to remove military threats to Russia.
Dima says they should send one army group from Belarus towards Kiev to cut it off from NATO resources sent via Poland. A second army group from Russia would by pass the city of Kharkov. A few brigades might be sent to deal with Ukrainians in Sumy districts which is directly west of Kharkov. Sumy is a center for Ukraine’s electrical power grid and for their rail network. The Russians do not need to occupy Sumy, Kharkov or Kiev. They need to attack Ukrainian forces in the area, to reduce both their numbers and fighting power while using heavy and constant artillery barrages to pin down Ukrainian soldiers.
As I said previously, the Russians will have 1,500 tanks and 3,500 Infantry Fighting Vehicles on the frontlines. They will also have 1,000 modern MLRS rocket systems which can fire 12 rockers each in 12 seconds. They have the same accuracy as HIMARS but can fire 50% further with twice the payload. That first volley of 12,000 rockets could be a game changer, especially if fired at night when the Ukrainians are trying to sleep. Rocket artillery, drones and cruise missile attacks should be staggered to deny Ukrainian soldiers sleep until the Russian artillery is within range.
The Ukrainians have moved 2 groups of 20,000 soldiers to the north, one to stop advances from Belarus and the other from Russia near Kharkov. These men are inadequate in numbers and won’t know what hit them. Russian artillery will be brought up to fire 12,000 artillery rounds a day at each force to pin down what is left after the initial barrage of drones, missiles and rocket artillery. Russia has computers that can track down and locate positions which fired at them. Artillery can be directed against those positions.
The goal of that second Russian Army group would be to cut off both Ukrainian and NATO soldiers from supplies. They have no electricity so they will need diesel both for transport and to generate electricity. They will also like any army require lots of food and ammunition. Cut that off and those 40,000 NATO soldiers might be persuaded to surrender. That second army group might not even have to connect with Russian soldiers from the Donbass at Pokrovsk.
The goal would be to defeat the Ukrainians in the field, to reduce their numbers, to cut them off from fuel, food and ammunition and to capture those 40,000 NATO men though their numbers have been reduced already by Russian troops.
I had intended to write a holiday edition of Vidrebel but events are developing in Belarus, the Ukraine, the Donbass and Russia. I am still hoping for a ceasefire either on or just before Orthodox Christmas which is January 6th or the Epiphany in the West if Russia starts the next phase in the week or so.
It all depends now on when the Donbass front collapses and when Kiev gets good tank weather. Hopefully, the majority of the fighting will be over within a couple of weeks of the Russians sending those two army groups into the Ukraine. And also hopefully, the Neocons will not be allowed to start WW III.
The Neocons might even be forced to answer a few questions: Why did they think it was a good idea to blow up the Nord Stream pipelines? And why did they invest so heavily in a corrupt Ukrainian Jewish regime whose most ardent supporters were Nazis trained by the CIA and Israel? And what about all those biolabs spreading diseases like bird flu which is making both chickens and eggs frightfully expensive hurting consumers all over the world?
